About The Declaration of World Energy Independence, Security and Sustainability

Cleanpeace.org will use the Declaration to empower you and others in your State and neighborhood to change U S and world energy policies as follows:

For U S Citizens and Residents:

In any Congressional district from which at least 300 residents sign the "Declaration of Energy Independence, Security, and Sustainability", Cleanpeace.org will provide scientific, technical and policy assistance to help Declaration signers work with their Congressperson or US Senators to counter the propaganda of the energy lobby in Washington and urge enactment of a new energy policy based on the Four Principles in the Declaration. The Washington lobby may have your Congress Congressperson's ear in Washington, but you can get it at home when 300 or more residents have a message for him or her.

Cleanpeace.org will also deliver the signed Declaration, with signer's comments on it, to your Congressperson and Senators upon obtaining a significant number of Declaration signatures from your district.

For Non-U S Citizens:

We'll help you to tell U S policy makers what to do about energy! Whenever Cleanpeace.org receives a significant number of declaration signatures from any nation other than the U S, we will deliver the Declaration, with signer's comments on it, to US decision makers, including those in Congress and the White House, to let them know what kind of energy policy you expect the world's largest energy consumer to enact.

Whenever Cleanpeace.org receives 2000 or more Declaration signatures from any country other than the U S, we will provide the signers, or any group they form or work with, scientific, technical and policy information to help urge domestic decision makers to enact a new energy policy based on the Four Principles of Energy Independence, Security and Sustainability in the Declaration.

Unless a signer objects in the comments section of the Declaration, we also will deliver the Declaration, with signer's names and comments on it, to the country's Ambassador to the United Nation in New York. If a signer asks that his or her name not appear on the Declaration when it is presented to the UN Ambassador, we will delete the name and any other identifying information from the declaration but leave the comments.
